Jody Watkins and Tara Velardi are the owners and operators of VW Entertainment and Lighting.
I, Jody Watkins, began Disk Jockeying in 1991. I worked with one of South Florida’s preeminent DJ companies, that is still dominating that most competitive market today. I am here to bring that expertise to Charlotte, the city I love. I also designed and installed high-end audio and video systems for corporations and military facilities, with one of the largest professional Audio-Video integrators. I am detail-oriented and will make sure that the visuals and audio at your event will run seamlessly. I have an extensive music library and will be the one Disk Jockeying your event. Also, I am fun! I love music, I love people, and I can’t wait to start helping you plan your event!
I, Tara Velardi, am working with Jody Watkins in the DJ business. I have worked as a teacher, trainer, and presenter in the field of education. I have worked for the state of NC and in a local school system, providing quality workshops and staff development opportunities. I bring my experience in working with people and presenting professionally to VW Entertainment and Lighting. You can count on me to keep things organized for your day and speak professionally at your event. I enjoy working with you to plan your event, emcee your special day, and coordinate all activities.
